is that dumbledore?

here's to:

pumpkins, apple cider, ghost haunting, dressing up, clinging to boys as you walk through haunted houses, monsters, the smell of hair coloring spray,  orange and black, sometimes purple,  'boo', wow, you sure scared me, harry potter, candy, creepers, more candy, not-so-scary scary movies, hiding your face in his lap at the not-so-scary scary movie, cheap face paint, greedy children (the sign says, 'take one' you piggish child), the perfect halloween moon, trunk or treating like a little four year old girl, not eating the candy you trunk or treated, one too many doughnuts, spice, under-dressed women, memories, and jedis.

my halloweens are dope.

imma freak.

This happens to me a lot: I walk into wal*mart, grab a cart and realize 10 seconds later that my cart is the loudest one around. ev'rytime. It's like a curse. Until recently I have found it to be otherwise. I always end up with the loudest and squeakiest cart at wal*mart and I would dread every second. I accept the fact now. Yes, it was awkward with every corner you turn to have a million new heads it seemed stop and stare. Of course, you look like a freak. How do I cope with such circumstances? I smile and give a quick nod, sometimes even a wink, you know. It's better than hiding your face in shame. Plus the wink forces them to look another way. I don't know what it is, people freak out when they're winked at. Gets 'em every time. Their looks are hard to pin down. It's a mix of confusion, embarrassment for myself, maybe a hint of annoyance? I don't know. But let's get real people, it's jealously. period. you know cool people push around the squeaky shopping carts.

Now ev'rytime I go to wal*mart I go out of my way to find the loudest cart in the bunch. I'm sure with my frequent visits to that store, people will begin to recognize me; "Oh look honey, there's that girl I was telling you about, you know, the loud one. Oh careful, don't make eye contact, she might wink at you." So now everytime you're at wal*mart and you hear loud, squeaky wheels racing down the aisles, chances are...that's me.

See ya around cupcake.

guess what?

there are three days I absolutely hate: Mondays (duh). Saturdays (because I have no life). and WEDNESDAYS (something about the middle of the week that makes me shiver). but let me mention yet again my quest for happiness. the promise that everyday not just Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, but Monday, Saturday and Wednesday can be happy days.

guess what?
today, Wednesday, a day i have always disliked has been lovely. why? because I made it that way. cool, huh?

so note to my readers: you have the power to make your life beautiful. i don't care if you hate wednesdays, or if your boyfriend is a jerk, you failed a math test, you think you're not pretty enough, you hate the cold weather, or whate'er. it doesn't matter. be happy. it's a choice, baby.

it's only two months away...

I know it's October but I saw this and I just about died.

Merry Christmas.

a bombdiggity sort of week.

I told you I'd post...a lot. It's been a few days, though. Apologies. I have some valid reasons for my absence, however. It's been a most exciting week. To be honest, it's been one of the hardest and quite emotional on my part. But I want to be happy and dwelling on the negative only eats up the good things.
So ladies and gentlemen, this is...

My week in a nutshell:
(remember when I used to do this? all the way back in June).

-loving who you are, because at least you're not "her". (I know kind of mean, but it helps).
-a job. not just any job. one that pays $15 an hour kind of job. i have the big man upstairs to thank for that.
-pumpkins. what a lovely tradition. i picked the wrinkliest with a twisted top. it's quite whimsical.
-Harry Potter. need I say more?
-finding you have the best friends ever. shout out to Rebecca, Vanessa and Kylie. love ya girls.
-telling someone a secret. a secret you've kept inside for a long time and then trusting someone enough to keep it. I feel free now.
-making hot chocolate and then adding a green tea bag to your cup. It's the caffeine addiction, I'm telling ya.
-having the courage to do something you hadn't had courage to do before.
-Junior Mints.
-when I woke up this morning, I whispered to myself, 'I love my life.' It's made the day lovely.

It's a new week and I'm ready. Bring it, Monday! Just yesterday I had so many questions answered and I feel like I could fly.
