peaches

What can I say? You girls changed my life.

wind cave hike where I was almost attacked! by a rattlesnake I've decided to call it Lu. It's short for Lucifer.

We got sick of girls camp so we tried to hitch a ride back home. Ha! No, just messing with you.

kellie, work that outfit! Oh, I love you girls.

Girls camp was just about the most twisted adventure I've had in a long time. I almost didn't go this year. I'm 18, going to singles ward, why girls camp? Well, let's just say a little buddy of mine some people like to call the H.G. gave me a bit of advice. I thought he was just messing with me. I was wrong. Amazing things happened at camp, that's all.

Thank you girls for being my friend and letting me come.

and a thank you to the girls of whom I stole the lovely photos from. I hope you don't mind.

Last day:

I'm coming home today and I look absolutely stunning. Like this:

If only...

But no matter how messy my hair is now, no matter how stinky I am after three days with no bath, no matter how dirty I am, always remember that no matter where you are you must always...

Camp advice #7: Be a lady. It does wonders for your self confidence when you smell like a campfire.

Girls camp is another name for nun camp.

This is what we do at girls camp. No, not the kissing. If you direct your eyes to the left side of the picture towards the back, we're the covered one. Hence, who we are at girls camp, Nuns, {in a way}.

No makeup, no phones, no hair irons, no electronics, no immodest attire and no boys. That is girls camp. It reminds me a bit of nunhood. {I don't think that was a word.} I do enjoy the break, though. Oh, girls camp.

Camp advice #93: flirting with the fisherman on the lake while canoeing, and then falling into the water in front of the said fisherman probably isn't the smartest or the least bit attractive.

Day two:

Hmmm... it's morning time and we're just waking up and eating breakfast. I think.

But it probably doesn't look like that. I don't think we look that scrumptious either. Our hair is most likely a mess and we are half dead being that we slept on rock ground and it's cold. I'm supposing that today we're hiking and I'm afraid I can't tell you what the weather's like today. I hope it's cloudy and there's a soft breeze. I'm sure I'm having a lovely time.

Camp advice #117: Contrary to it's title, the turkey call is in reality not a call for turkeys. It's been proved to attract skunks. That's probably why they call me Flower.

And you thought I wouldn't post.

What? Kathryn, why is there a post on your blog when you're supposed to be at girls camp? Two words: Scheduled posts.

At the moment, I'm probably digging my mind into the  Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis as we voyage into the long journey to our camp. I've been looking forward to this more than anything else. Time to do nothing but READ! Or I could sit around like mush and do nothing, but that's boring.

You'll be seeing more posts this week about my camping experience, even though I haven't even left yet. Trust me, they'll be exciting.

Camp advice #24: Shouting, GISELLE, when a deer trots through the forest is a sure sign you may be of African descent.

Breathe the clean air.

Well darling readers, it's off to girls camp for me.

I'll try not to get too dirty and I do hope my bug repellent works. I'm quite excited, actually. I'm going with dear, dear girls and I'm looking forward to the long car-drive to our camp. It will be perfect for a summer's read.

I need to go. Too much to do for girls camp.

neglected.

Oooh, sometimes I just want to smack myself. It's been far too long since I've posted and, bother, that's rude. But no excuses, just an apology.

Well this summer has been, oh gosh, perhaps not everything I expected but sometimes God knows best and you can't complain, only accept and embrace life with grace and humility. Even the rain. Anyone living in my area understands what I'm talking about. It's green, wet, cloudy and absolutely perfect! I live in a dry desert and it's completely disdainful! So a wet summer like the one now is something you want to soak up. Yes, I quite like this weather.

You know what I love on a rainy day? Tea and dainties. Well, really I love tea and dainties on any day. It's my door into alone time and makes the day a bit more lovely.

If you ever find yourself in a blunder just remember...

KEEP CALM
and
DRINK TEA.

I don't know if you're like me, but if you are, you take time daily to check your blog stats. I just like to see when people visit. Well, yesterday, my stats read 100 views. Yeah, baby! The big one double-o. Perhaps I'm getting excited over something small, but whatevah! I was very giddy when I saw it.

I want to say...

You readers are A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Thank you kindly.

Now if I could only get 100 followers...? Hmmm...
